VOGUE PRETAGONIST - CHRISTHMAS ISSUE

A subtle line takes on life, beginning from an indefinite point and freely moving in space, outlining curves, creating ties, establishing connections and continuing until it becomes a shape that is two-dimensional in some cases and three-dimensional in others. It is a shape that multiplies and interminably continues. The contemporary spirit of Hella Ganor exudes high design content in its purest form and is overlapped by production techniques that unite manual ability with the possibilities presented by 3D computer generated prints. The result is a singular technology (borrowed from the most important avant-garde architects), which the Israeli designer uses to create pieces similar to sculptures that embrace the woman's figure, conforming to the body's natural movements. Curved lines and flexible silhouettes trace the contours of a declared sensuality that is in line with the artist's ultimate objective: to glorify and celebrate the hidden power of every woman's body». The purity of traditional design is complemented by the freedom granted by the virtuosity of modern technologies. Gold docilely submits to them, recomposing interlaced forms, which are then embellished with diamonds, green opals, lapis lazuli and white agate. Interplays between solids and voids are unmistakable and high-lighted by the copious use of recesses, giving form to objects that can maintain an extreme lightness and richness at the same time. The lines echo natural elements like rocks and stones or man-made elements like architectural structures such as a postmodern bridge or the geometric expression of artwork by Escher,Brancusi and Serra. An abstract and almost hypnotic allure is both tender and ever-changing, just like the ultra-femi-nine esprit of those who wear the jewels.
